A visual editor
No code and no Markdown: place, drag and align. Better for people who think in layouts, and for teams where not everyone writes.
Compare / Slides.com
Slides.com is a hosted presentation editor built on reveal.js. You design slides by placing blocks on a canvas, edit together with collaborators, and present from the browser, with the audience following live on their own devices.
Kadal Deck is for people who would rather write. A talk is one MDX file in your editor and your git repository; the hosted service publishes it with a live room where the audience answers polls and asks questions from their phones.

Fair is fair
No code and no Markdown: place, drag and align. Better for people who think in layouts, and for teams where not everyone writes.
Several people edit one deck with comments on the slide, and teams share media, templates and a theme editor.
It imports existing PowerPoint and PDF files. Kadal Deck imports only Slidev and reveal.js decks.
Single sign-on, a custom subdomain, AI credits without your own key, and translation of a deck into 40+ languages.
Its live broadcast has no audience cap. Kadal Deck's rooms hold 25 to 1,000 people at once, depending on the plan.
The other side
A deck is a file in git: diff it, review it in a pull request, reuse slides between talks, and build it on any machine.
Polls, quizzes with a leaderboard, word clouds, upvoted questions and reactions, answered from phones with no app or sign-in.
Write, present, export and self-host with the open-source engine. The hosted service is for publishing and the room.
Each paid plan costs a little less, and public decks are free. The free plan shows a small watermark and ads on its first and last slides.
In short
Choose Slides.com if you want to design on a canvas, edit together in real time, or bring PowerPoint files along.
Choose Kadal Deck if you write, keep talks in git, and want the audience answering polls and asking questions from their phones.
